Seth Crook

I write poetry on a wide range of subjects, appear in a wide range of magazines and books; and often swim in the wide sea.
I am very active in the poetry scene. I have had a poem in the Best Scottish Poems of the Year listing at the Scottish Poetry Library. A poem of mine was recently read at a Stanza Festival event. I’ve had around 300 poems published in magazines over the last ten years: in such places as The Rialto and Magma and, in Scotland, Poetry Scotland, Northwards Now, Gutter, Southlight. This year my poems have been translated into Dutch and British Sign Language, have been published in Germany, have been published in at least a dozen anthologies; for example, The Centenary Collection (Speculative Books) (an anthology celebrating the the work of Edwin Morgan, the one-time Makar); Declaration (Scotland Street) (an anthology celebrating the Declaration of Arbroath); Places of Poetry (One World) (my poem in the Mull poem). I am transitioning into a seal and often write about wild swimming on Mull.
