Martin Guppy started publishing from Mull in 1988 and has become one of the 5 main photographers in Scotland. Martin began photography at the age of 7 and has been passionate about the Scottish landscape since his first visit at 15. Martin trained under a photographic team in Dorset from 17 where he learned the skills of colour printing. The passion for colour and light has been with him ever since and is seen in the work Island Blue Publishing produces. In his twenties he visited the Falkland Islands which shaped much of his passion for photographing the Scottish islands later on, later moving to Mull where he has been ever since. Over the last 33 years of Island Blue Publishing he has produced many calendars and cards specialising in the Hebrides and Northern Isles. He has long term connections with renowned wild life photographer Laurie Campbell in publishing much of Laurie’s work. Martin in now based in Tobermory after spending much time on the Ross of Mull and West Mull.,
