Angus Stewart

Mull based figurative landscape painter working in watercolour and oil with a studio gallery in upper Tobermory.
Angus completed a degree in Fine Art at Newcastle in 1980. By 1982 he was a full time artist roaming the West of Scotland painting in a camper van. He then set off for Florence and the USA, returning home to concentrate on painting watercolours of the landscape of Mull. Besides exhibiting on Mull, Angus has shown at The Orbost Gallery, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, The Fruitlands Gallery, Alexandra, South Island, New Zealand, Lambs House, Leith, Trinity House Leith, Star Brae Gallery, Oban, Eden Court Inverness, WH Patterson, 19 Albemarle Street, London, The Sainsbury Centre, The University of East Anglia. For the past 20 years he’s been showing his work each summer in his Breadalbane Street Studio & Gallery in upper Tobermory however the gallery remained closed during the whole of 2020. In the spring of 2021 Angus decided to set aside his watercolours and re-learn how to paint oils. He is having a lot of fun and hopeful that his gallery will be open to visitors again this summer.
