Artist Alicia Hendrick is a Creative Crofter. She works as a Visual Artist, Curator, Theatre and Film Designer, Artist Lead on Community projects and is a member of artist collective 6°WEST. Trained at Glasgow School of Art, Alicia has lived on Mull since the 80s. She has a studio in the historic bank building which is beautifully situated overlooking Tobermory Bay. Here she creates work for exhibition and projects. Recently she has opened the Wee Tobermory Art Gallery in the lane downstairs from her studio. It is in essence a glass fronted noticeboard which can be accessed 24hrs a day to view recent work. Alicia sees this space as an antidote to the online world giving folk the chance to view work directly in a low-tech, covid safe, immediate, comforting way.
