Gordon Menzies set up the Iona Gallery and Pottery in 1982. His work is influenced by Iona and by Japanese art.
Handmade stoneware ceramics including domestic ware and sculptural pieces decorated using slips, oxides and glazes.
Domestic ware and hand built “corrugated construction” using coloured slips and earthen ware clay, firing to 1080 degrees.
My pottery and paintings are inspired by the colours, scenery and wildlife on Mull.
Mainly hand-built porcelain vases, pots, sculptured pieces and tiles in simple white forms or coloured and textured.
